Q&A for Employees
In other words, hired-out employees are „rented” or „leased” employees, and as such they are never employees of the client. They are always employed with an employment agency (BOSAK EMPLOYMENT) as their formal employer, while they only work at client’s premisses and according to client’s instructions. The client pays to the employment agency (BOSAK EMPLOYMENT) a monthly fee for the work provided by the „leased” employees. Hired-out employees always receive their salaries from the employment agency. The only exception provided by the legal provisions where the client is treated as formal employer of the hired-out employee is regarding health and safety at work measures.
Every hired-out employee at BOSAK EMPLOYMENT, foreign and local, has an equal medical care as any other Croatian citizen. Every employee has a dedicated general practitioner M.D. and a dentist, while female employees have also a gynaecologist. All contacts are provided to each employee. In case of a need please contact the doctor.
All hired-out employees receive their monthly salaries from BOSAK EMPLOYMENT, as their employer, in accordance with job offer letters and employment agreements (and other applicable documents such as Master Employment Agreements for foreign employees coming from the Philippines). In Croatia, salaries are paid once a month into a banking account of the employee.
Foreign employees need a Residence and Work Permit to be able to live and work in Croatia legally. The Permit is issued by the Police station in the place where the foreign employees will have registered residence. BOSAK EMPLOYMENT makes all necessary administrative actions for a foreign employee in order to obtain the Permit.

In any event of emergency where there is a need to contact emergency services – Ambulance, Police and/or Fire brigade – please immediately call the free 112 number as this is the central emergency number in Croatia. Also, after contacting the 112 service and after acting in accordance with the instructions of the emergency service, please call the provided number for such cases at BOSAK EMPLOYMENT as well.
Foreign employees which do not have an EU country citizenship need a VISA for longer stay in Croatia (to work and live). You can check visa requirements by country here. If you need to apply for a Croatian visa as a selected employee by BOSAK EMPLOYMENT, our team will assist and guide you through the required process.
